WELDON - James Edward Thompson, 77, of Weldon, passed away 3:40 a.m. June 4, 2024, at McLean County Nursing Home, Normal.Graveside services with military honors will be noon, Friday, June 14, at Blairsville Cemetery, Carterville. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton.Memorials may be directed to the Disabled American Veterans.James was born Jan. 14, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Clarence Edward and Irma (Holland) Thompson.
