Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2024, at St. Patrick Church, Wapella, IL, with Fr. Thomas Szydlik, Celebrant. The Visitation will be before the Mass at 1:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Wapella, IL. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements. A Celebration of Life will follow with family and friends at 4:30 p.m. at Gill Street Restaurant, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Patrick Church, The Salvation Army, WGLT Radio, Normal, IL. John was born August 14, 1961, in Decatur, IL, the son of Robert and Marilyn (Walsh) Salmond.
