Strum, 60, of Farmer City passed away at 8:02 a.m. Tuesday (March 11, 2025) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 14, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Farmer City. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 14, with Fr. Thomas R. Szydlik Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Farmer City. A Rosary service led by Sister Anne Walsh will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, at the church.Memorials may be made to Mills Breast Cancer Institute, Urbana. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home of Farmer City is assisting the family with arrangements.Mary was born on July 1, 1964, in Bloomington, a daughter of Richard and Florence Hardesty Workman. She married John P. Strum on Oct. 2, 1982, in Farmer City.Mary is survived by her husband, John P. Strum of Farmer City; her children, Karla (Brian) Metros of Sussex, N.J., Jounette (Andrew) Twist of Rochester, Minn., John "J.D." Strum
